Zero Punctuation - Demon Thing

Friday Fiver...

1. What was/is your favorite subject in school? Why?
English. I have a knack for the language... I always scored well on tests, was at a reading level of about five grades higher throughout my schooling.

2. Who was your favorite teacher? Why?
It's sad when you can't remember the person's name. I'm sure his name will come back to me, but it's eluding me at the moment. He was my freshman english teacher in HS... Had been released the year before, but was rehired for the last half of the year to teach when the other teacher got into a car accident and was in no condition to work. This was a man whom, the year before, had jumped up on his desk with Hamlet in one hand, and a rubber chicken in the other, and wlaked alon the student's desks performing the Yorick monologue.

I had so many wonderful teachers, though. Mr. Baldwin, whom was actually in a recent dream of mine, had been my advisor throughout HS, and was a well-educated eccentric. Mrs. Scott, my 7th grade teacher, whom listened to the B-52s whenever possible. Mr. Hart, whom had constructed a full scale model of the battle of Gettysburg in his basement, and brought it in during his lectures on the Civil War. Mr. Goslow, a quiet eccentric whom taught sociology, English and other subjects, despite a degree in South American History. So many others... So many memories.

3. What is your favorite memory of school?
Coffee House in Mrs. Freed-Elefant's Creative Writing class. Every friday, we'd either read one of our own pieces, or a piece from another author. After the first, I wasn't allowed to go any earlier than last. NO ONE WANTED TO FOLLOW ME. I didn't just read... I performed. And I dominated.

4. What was your favorite recess game?
Leave Mike Alone And Let Him Wallow In Peace. I got to play it about once a week.

5. What did you hate most about school?
Having to actually prove that I knew and understood a subject through busywork, rather than through testing. That, and our consolodated Math Paralysis program.
