Zero Punctuation - Demon Thing

Metaphorical Tawk.

PhoenixMUCK is down. Hard. Like a mugger who turned his back to Evander Holyfield.

I'd planned on finishing 'The Final Round' and having it linked to the grid, but I guess that'll have to wait until someone kicks TNT's provider in the nads.

In other news, my weekend felt like six hours. It was longer, but it felt short... Maybe it was the fact that Marianne had to work on Sunday. Who knows.

I'm tired, cranky, and do NOT want to have to deal with a rover-type co-worker whom may become a permanent in my department. I don't like her; her work ethic stinks worse than an uncleaned barnyard in the summer. She buggers off to other departments all the time to chat it up with her friends, all the while I'm dealing with a line of six freaking customers whom came out of nowhere... and she's nowhere to be found. She goes to get a drink of water, turns it into a 15 minute break (her second), which then convieniently lasts a half hour. And when I tell her of this, she calls a manager to talk and buggers off the floor for another half hour to cry about me. Because I'm giving her a hard time and not being kind.

Because I expect her to actually work.

Zero Punctuation - Demon Thing

Well, here we go...

I decided, after discussing some concept with the marketing peon whom got his job back for actually giving a decent answer, that the best course of action for The Poor Bastard's Guide would be to turn it into an LJ community.

The Poor Bastard's Guide (pbguide) is more than the gaming article it was once going to be... It's now a guide for all those, like myself, whom don't exactly have the money to burn on things such as, oh, say, a new XBox or a DVD every week, a la some people I know. This is for us, the people with real incomes, with debts and not a lot of disposable income. The renters, the bargain hunters, the people whom just want to pass some time with something inexpensive, yet fun.
